PITTSBURGH, PA – April 1, 2019 – Module, a Pittsburgh startup developing adaptable housing solutions, will host their second annual event, ‘Defining the Future of Housing,’ at the Ace Hotel in East Liberty, beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 4. This event brings together the leading builders, developers, and other stakeholders in the housing industry to discuss the future of construction, inclusive development, and sustainable housing. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation (BGC). BGC is a non-profit that focuses on improving the quality of life for all in Garfield and surrounding neighborhoods through active community engagement.
The event coincides with the completion of Module’s first house in Friendship, which is a one-bedroom, one bathroom in-law unit. This house, called the “Module Living Lab’ is sponsored in part by IKEA, Bosch, Nichiha, and Dixie Exteriors. For the next several months, Module will give tours and host events to introduce the public to its first home. The house will be open for tours from 10:00 am – 1 pm on April 4th, 4:00pm – 7:00pm on April 5th, and again on April 6th from 10:00am – 1:00 pm.
