On May 24, 2017, Pennsylvania Environmental Council honored the Millvale EcoDistrict with a Western Pennsylvania Environmental Award.
The award comes with funding support for future projects, which was given by the EcoDistrict to the Millvale Community Library.
The Borough of Millvale has banded together over the last few years to reduce flooding and increase quality of life. The Borough has introduced solar paneling, a community gardens, rain gardens, and community programs to revitalize the area. You can read more about Millvale’s work here.
